MEGACON Orlando runs Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 May 2027 at the Orange County Convention Center. The convention center allows no overnight parking. Its published rate is $22 plus tax ($23.43) for a standard car, and it says that can rise by event. MEGACON sells parking passes in advance "to get access to the lots that fill up the quickest." In 2026, ClickOrlando reported lot prices as high as $40, and Lot 1, the West Concourse lot, sold out. If you can walk, the car stays at the hotel, and the hotel's nightly parking rate is the one to compare.

On 21 October 2026 we asked each of the 20 hotels we cover on International Drive for MEGACON weekend on its own booking site, for two adults in one room: the Friday alone (21 to 22 May), then the Saturday alone (22 to 23 May). When a hotel said no, we tried Thursday to Sunday, then a Friday in another month, to see whether the no belonged to MEGACON. Seventeen sold both nights on their own. The closest hotel, the one with a skybridge, sold nothing. Any of these answers can change.

Walk times are street routes from OpenStreetMap's foot routing, run that same day from each hotel to a point at the convention center's West Building, 9800 International Drive. We measured to the West Building because ticketing in 2026 was in West Hall E, according to ClickOrlando. MEGACON hasn't said which building it will use in 2027.

Rosen Plaza refused every MEGACON stay

Rosen Plaza Hotel at 9700 International Drive is about 9 minutes from the West Building on our route. The Gary Sain Memorial Skybridge, a covered walkway, runs from the hotel into the West Building near Hall F. You never touch the street. In a costume, that matters. Rosen's screen refused both single nights and Thursday to Sunday with the same all-caps line: "THERE ARE NO ROOMS AVAILABLE AT ROSEN PLAZA HOTEL MATCHING YOUR SEARCH CRITERIA." A lone Friday on 7 May 2027 sold. So did one on 4 June.

MEGACON's hotel page lists Rosen Plaza under the group code "Megacon Orlando". That looks like MEGACON's block holding the rooms, so try the code first. Rosen says it charges no resort fee, though its booking screen quotes rates excluding taxes and fees and itemizes nothing before checkout. Self-parking is $29 a night plus tax and valet $39 plus tax. Check-in is 3pm, and early check-in is $50 if a room is available.

No Friday or Saturday check-in

The Days Inn by Wyndham Orlando Convention Center at 9990 International Drive, about 15 minutes away, won't take a Friday or Saturday arrival over MEGACON. Wyndham's screen answered both single nights, and Friday to Sunday, with "This hotel is not available for your dates." Thursday alone sold, and so did Thursday to Sunday, which still gives you a bed every night of the show. Friday 7 May sold on its own, so the rule looks tied to MEGACON weekend. The stay total added tax and nothing else. Wyndham's overview page says parking is free. The small print on its rates page says parking charges may apply.

Either night alone, under 20 minutes

Rosen Centre Hotel has its own skybridge into the West Building, near Hall A, and from 9840 International Drive the walk is about 10 minutes. It sold both single nights on the public rate, but read Rosen's rate terms first: a booking "determined to be booked outside of the official housing block" for a convention "will be canceled or increased to the appropriate group rate upon arrival at the hotel's sole discretion." Rosen Plaza's terms say the same, so for MEGACON book either through the group code. Rosen says it charges no resort fee. Parking costs more than at Rosen Plaza: self-parking is $40 a night plus tax and valet $53 plus tax, and an oversized vehicle pays $60 plus tax.

The convention center names two bridges at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, 9801 International Drive. The International Drive Pedestrian Bridge lands in the West Building near West Hall C, on Level 2, and the Oversight Pedestrian Bridge runs to the North/South Building. The walk is about 12 minutes. Hyatt's screen listed rooms and suites for both nights. Every room pays a $48 daily resort fee. Self-parking starts at $45 a night and valet at $56, both with in-and-out, so on the public rate a car makes it at least $93 a night on top of the room, before tax. Hyatt's Park & Stay rate includes free self-parking, but not with group or convention rates, so a room on MEGACON's code pays to park.

The covered walkway at Hilton Orlando, 6001 Destination Parkway, reaches the South Concourse of the North/South Building, not the West Building. Our route from there to the West Building took about 17 minutes. Hilton sold both nights. A $47 resort charge plus tax goes on every night, covering the Wi-Fi, the lazy river, a Disney shuttle and two trolley passes a day. Self-parking is $38 a night and valet $50, both plus tax. If MEGACON 2027 ends up in the North/South Building, that walkway goes straight there.

Walks of 20 to 24 minutes with no bridge

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando at 9000 International Drive is the closest of these, about 20 minutes away, and it sold both nights. Rosen's site says it charges no resort fees. Parking is $10 a night with tax included, and it stops at $50 a vehicle however long you stay.

Three hotels sit together on Universal Boulevard, between 8800 and 8900, about 20 minutes from the West Building, and none showed a resort fee. The SpringHill Suites Orlando Convention Center and the Residence Inn Orlando Convention Center next door both sold either night, and both charge $20 a day to park, or $100 a week. The SpringHill won't check in anyone under 21. Every suite at the Residence Inn has a full kitchen, and breakfast is free. The Hampton Inn Orlando International Drive sold both nights too, and it's $10 a night plus tax to self-park, in and out as you like. Hilton calls the Hampton half a mile from the convention center. That's the North/South Building. To the West Building our route was 0.94 miles.

Back on International Drive, Homewood Suites Orlando International Drive at 8745 and the Embassy Suites Orlando International Drive at 8978 are both all-suite hotels with free breakfast, hot at the Homewood and cooked to order at the Embassy. They're about 21 and 22 minutes away, and each sold both nights with no mandatory charge. Parking is where they differ. Hilton's info page puts the Homewood at $15 a day, though another Hilton listing shows $10, and the Embassy Suites at $23. Don't mix this Embassy Suites up with the one at ICON Park, which is a different hotel.

Las Palmeras, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club at 9501 Universal Boulevard faces the North/South Building across the street and is about 23 minutes from the West Building. Hilton sold both nights with a $25 resort charge a night built into the rate, plus tax. Self-parking is $32 a day plus tax and valet $40 plus tax. If you book somewhere other than Hilton, check it's the Hilton Grand Vacations listing: owner-rented condos use the same name on Expedia.

Two of the Westwood Boulevard hotels, both about 23 minutes away, sold both nights with nothing added but tax. Every rate at Extended Stay America Suites Orlando Convention Center Westwood, 6443 Westwood, said "includes all taxes & fees", and the total came to the room plus tax, with no resort fee. Each suite has a full kitchen. ESA's page for the hotel calls parking free in one place and paid in another, so call 1-407-351-1982 before you drive. The hotel holds a reservation only until 6pm on arrival day, so if you'll get in later, say so on that call. Four Points by Sheraton Orlando Convention Center at 6435 showed no fee line either, and Marriott says self-parking is free for guests. Nobody under 21 can check in.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Theme Park Resort at 10100 International Drive is about 24 minutes south, and both nights were for sale. It adds a $25 resort charge a night plus tax, which covers a $10 food-and-beverage credit and a shuttle to Universal. Self-parking is $38 a night with in-and-out.

Hilton puts Tru by Hilton Orlando Convention Center Area "on Westwood Boulevard at the West entrance to the Orange County Convention Center". From 6461 Westwood our route to the West Building was still about 24 minutes, so check where your hall door is. Tru sold both nights with no mandatory charge. Parking is $21 a night, one car per room, with in-and-out.

Hotels you'll drive from

The Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at SeaWorld at 6850 Westwood Boulevard is 1.7 miles away, about 37 minutes on foot. It sold both nights with no mandatory charge, and parking is $15 a day. The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld on Sea Harbor Drive is a little farther, 1.81 miles and about 39 minutes. Marriott sold it both nights with "Includes 48 USD Resort Fee" on the rate. Self-parking there is $44 a night, and valet $56.

WoodSpring Suites Orlando I-4 & Convention Center says it's a mile from the convention center. That's the straight line, and I-4 is in the way. OpenStreetMap's foot route runs north to Sand Lake Road and back down International Drive, 3.53 miles and 76 minutes. Google Maps goes round by Turkey Lake Road, 1 hour 19 minutes. It's a drive. It sold both nights, adding only tax, and parking is free. It lists no shuttle, so each day you go, budget for the convention center's lot or one of MEGACON's passes.

Not selling spring 2027 yet

Extended Stay America Select Suites Orlando Convention Center at 6451 Westwood Boulevard, about 23 minutes on foot, gave every MEGACON stay the same answer: "No rooms currently available for these dates." It said the same about four Fridays from March to June 2027, and sold a Friday on 13 November 2026. ESA hasn't opened spring 2027 at this hotel yet. Listings say parking is free. We couldn't confirm that with the hotel, which is at 1-407-352-3454.

MEGACON's own hotel list

MEGACON's hotel page says it has "exclusive discounted hotel rates" at eight of these hotels, all under the group code "Megacon Orlando": Rosen Plaza, Rosen Centre, the Hyatt, Hilton Orlando, Rosen Inn, the Embassy Suites, the DoubleTree and Tru. The screens above were the public ones, so try the code as well. Only the DoubleTree and Hilton Orlando links open Passkey, a group reservation page. Five go to the brands' own booking pages, and Rosen Inn's entry says "Booking link is coming soon." The page mentions no shuttle from any hotel.
