Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando is a budget hotel where the bill stays close to the rate you booked. The hotel's website says there are no resort fees, and self-parking in the gated lot costs $10 a night with tax already included, capped at $50 per vehicle. Three nights with a car adds $30. A week adds $50, and the meter stops there. The rooms are where the savings show. Guests call them dated and dark, and one guest last year found cobwebs in the corners. Noise comes up again and again, from I-4 traffic and from the air conditioners, so pack earplugs. Pest reports go back to 2023, and one came in this summer. The location makes up a lot of ground. Pointe Orlando's restaurants are across the street, and the three pools stay open until 10 p.m., two of them heated in season. The Orange County Convention Center is under a mile away on foot. If you're at a convention on your own dime, or you're a family out at the parks all day who wants a pool at night, the trade works. If you plan to spend much time in the room, it doesn't. The Universal shuttle is free if you reserve a seat in the lobby a day ahead, while the Disney run is a paid Fabulous Buses shuttle at $15 a guest round trip.

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando FAQ

Does Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando charge a resort fee?

No. The hotel's website says it charges no resort fees. If you drive, the only nightly add-on is parking, at $10 a night with tax included.

How much is parking at Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando?

$10 a night per vehicle, tax included, and never more than $50 per vehicle for the stay (the charge stops after five nights). It's self-parking in a gated lot secured around the clock. The hotel publishes no valet option, and its pages don't mention in-and-out privileges.

Can you walk to the Orange County Convention Center from Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando?

Yes, it's under a mile, and the hotel calls it within walking distance. We found no hotel shuttle to the convention center.

Does Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando have a shuttle to Disney or Universal?

Yes, to both, though only Universal is free. Universal departures run from 7:20 to 11:50 am, and you reserve in person at the Universal Partner Hotel Vacation Planning Center in the lobby 24 hours ahead. Space is limited. Disney is a paid Fabulous Buses shuttle at $15 a guest round trip, to Magic Kingdom (leaves 7:25 am, returns 5:20 pm) or EPCOT (leaves 10:15 am, returns 10:20 pm), and you need a boarding pass bought in advance. Disney pickups are curbside at I-Ride Trolley Stop 18 and aren't announced in the lobby.

Is Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando worth it for a last-minute stay?

If you'll be out all day, yes. No resort fee and capped parking keep the total low, and the convention center and Pointe Orlando are both walkable. The rooms are dated, and noise from I-4 and the air conditioners is a complaint guests keep repeating, so light sleepers should bring earplugs.

What time is check-in at Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando?

4 pm, and check-out is 11 am.
