SuddenStay

Affiliate Disclosure

SuddenStay may earn a commission when you book through our links, at no extra cost to you. We only make money if you find a deal worth booking.

Where things stand today

Full transparency: right now our "check price" buttons take you to Google Hotels searches, and we earn nothing from them. We're in the process of joining hotel affiliate programs; once those are live, some links will become commission links and this page will say so. The disclosure above describes how the site is built to work — we'd rather over-disclose early than surprise you later.

What that means in practice

When you click a "Check tonight's price" button on SuddenStay, you leave our site for a booking partner — sites like Booking.com or Expedia. If you complete a booking there, that partner may pay us a commission. The price you pay is identical either way; the commission comes out of the partner's margin, not your pocket.

What it doesn't change

  • Our hotel rankings and honest takes are written independently of commission rates.
  • We link to hotels with no affiliate relationship when they're the right call.
  • Negative details stay in our reviews even when they cost us bookings.

This disclosure appears on every page that contains affiliate links, above the first link, per FTC guidance. If anything here is unclear, ask us — we'd rather over-explain than have you wonder.
