What we collect

Nothing directly. Browsing the site requires no account, and we do not ask you for an email address or a phone number anywhere on it.

How we use it

There is nothing to use. We hold no contact details for you, so there is nothing to sell, rent, or share with third parties for their marketing.

Outbound links

When you follow a booking link, you leave SuddenStay and the destination site's own privacy policy applies. Affiliate links may include a referral identifier so partners know the visit came from us; it contains no personal information about you.

Analytics & cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages people actually find useful. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Vercel tells apart one visitor from another using a hash generated on its own servers that is valid for a single day and then resets, so there is no identifier following you between visits or between sites.

What it records with a page view: the time, the page address including any query string, the page you arrived from, your approximate location, your device type, and your browser and operating system with their versions. Vercel derives the location and device details from your request rather than reading them off your machine. Vercel states that this data carries no cross-site personal identifiers and that a session cannot be reconstructed or traced back to an individual.

We also use Google Analytics 4, and this one does set cookies. Two of them, named_ga and_ga_<id>, are written by this site on your first page view, before you click anything. Google sets them to last two years by default and refreshes that clock on each visit, though browsers cap it shorter: Chrome at 400 days, Safari at seven.

Google receives the page address, the page you came from, the page title, your browser language and screen resolution, and an identifier stored in that cookie. It receives your IP address and says it discards the raw address after using it to work out an approximate location and to filter spam. Google's enhanced measurement is turned on, so it also records scrolling, file downloads, any site search, and clicks on links leaving this site, which includes the destination of a booking link.

We do not run advertising trackers, and nothing here is used to build a profile of you or sold to anyone. Neither tool currently offers you an opt-out switch on this site, and we do not act on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. If you want to block them, a content blocker or your browser's cookie settings will do it, and the site works fine without either running.
