Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
This Homewood works best for a stay long enough to unpack. Every room is a suite. The one-bedroom suites have a full kitchen and a living room separate from the bed, and a hot breakfast buffet comes free each morning, with a manager's evening social Monday through Thursday. Guests like the staff and the breakfast. They're harder on the building: dated rooms, stained furniture, leaky taps, torn wallpaper, carpets overdue for a clean, and housekeeping problems. One guest in 2024 found mold in the shower and no plug in the tub. A family doing a week of parks, or a crew working a long show, can live with that for the space. If you want one polished night, look elsewhere. The convention center is about a mile along International Drive, and the I-Ride Trolley stops at the hotel. Work out parking before you book. Hilton lists self-parking at $15 a day, falling to $7 a night for stays of five to seven nights and free from eight, so three nights costs $45 to park and five costs $35. Another Hilton listing says $10 a day. Neither says whether tax is on top. There's no valet. Hilton's booking screen showed no resort or destination charge for a May 2027 stay, checked October 21, 2026.
