Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Aquatica is SeaWorld's water park, sitting right next door on International Drive, and its calling card is Dolphin Plunge: an enclosed tube slide that shoots you through a lagoon of Commerson's dolphins. Around that you get a full day of Caribbean-themed water, wave pools, a lazy river, a whitewater river, tube and body slides, and a kids' play area, so it works across a mixed-age group. In peak-July heat, that spread is the whole point. The ticket is single-day and dated, valid only on the date you pick, and it's strictly non-refundable, so you're locked in the moment you book. Some options add fast-track entry, worth weighing on a summer weekend, because this place fills up. Expect long lines, packed pools, and the occasional ride closure when crowds peak. Budget for extras too, since parking, lockers, and dining aren't included. And read the age rule before you count heads: kids 3 and up pay the full adult rate, with only ages 0-2 free. It suits families with kids, thrill-seekers chasing slides, and anyone doing a SeaWorld combo who wants a second day of cooling off. Just commit to your date first, then book.

Aquatica Orlando FAQ

Can I get a refund if my plans change?

No. The ticket is non-refundable and non-changeable once booked, and it's only valid on the date you select, so lock in your date before you buy.

Do young kids get in free?

Only ages 0-2 are free. Kids 3 and up pay the full adult rate.

Is parking included in the ticket?

No. Parking, lockers, and dining are all extra on top of admission.

What is Dolphin Plunge at Aquatica?

An enclosed tube slide that shoots you through a lagoon of Commerson's dolphins, and it is the ride the park is known for. It is covered by standard admission. Lines run long across the park when crowds peak, so ride it early in the day.

How long do you need at Aquatica Orlando?

A full day. Past Dolphin Plunge there are wave pools, a lazy river, a whitewater river, tube and body slides and a kids' play area, which holds a mixed-age group for the day. The ticket is only valid on the date you pick, so there is no splitting it across two visits.

Is fast-track entry worth it at Aquatica?

Worth weighing on a summer weekend. Some ticket options add fast-track entry, and the park fills up: long lines, packed pools and the occasional ride closure at peak times. On a quieter weekday it is harder to justify the extra.
