Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
This Hampton is the cheap way to keep a car near the Orange County Convention Center. Hilton's hotel page lists self-parking at $10 a night plus tax, so five nights with the car runs $50 before tax, which is modest for this stretch of Orlando. Hilton's booking screen showed no resort or destination charge for a May 2027 stay when we checked on Oct. 21, 2026. Breakfast is hot and free, and guests consistently praise it. The front desk gets kind words too. The address is 8900 Universal Boulevard, not International Drive, and Hilton puts the convention center about half a mile away. That is a real walk in July. A conference trip on a budget with a rental car is where this hotel makes the most sense. So does a park week for a family that would rather spend on Universal tickets than on a resort. The hotel will schedule a shuttle to the major theme parks for a fee. Hilton doesn't publish the price, so ask at the desk before you plan around it.
