Universal Orlando became a three-park resort in May 2025, when Epic Universe opened as the first all-new major US theme park in over 25 years. That's the decision in front of you: Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Epic Universe, with the ticket you pick setting how many of the three you can enter. Epic alone packs five lands, including Super Nintendo World, a Ministry of Magic Wizarding World, How to Train Your Dragon's Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. Admission comes as an instant e-ticket (a mobile QR code or PDF, no counter exchange) in single-park, park-to-park, and multi-day versions. The catch is Epic. It isn't included on a base 1-day 1-park ticket; you need a 2-day-or-more or Epic-inclusive option. Even then, Epic runs on timed entry reservations that can fill up in peak summer, so lock in your reservation when you book. Tickets are date-specific and generally non-refundable and non-changeable once issued, so pin your day before you pay. Universal Express Pass is a separate paid add-on, and it doesn't cover Epic the way it covers the other two parks. This one suits thrill-seekers, Harry Potter and Nintendo fans, and families with older kids and teens, especially anyone doing two or more days.
