LEGOLAND Florida is the Orlando-area park built squarely for the elementary-school set, and knowing that up front is the whole game. You get 150 acres and 50-plus rides, shows, and hands-on attractions spread across themed LEGO lands, all set on the old Cypress Gardens botanical grounds, so there's real greenery between the brick. Tickets come as 1-, 2-, or 3-day options on a dated mobile e-ticket you scan at the gate, and park hours run roughly 10am to 5 or 6pm. The catch is the map: it's in Winter Haven, about 45 minutes (roughly 45 miles) southwest of the I-Drive corridor, so budget it as a planned day trip with real drive time each way. The park skews ages 2-12, and teens or adults without young kids often find it tame next to Disney or Universal. Visit in late-July peak summer and you're signing up for high heat, thin shade, and near-daily afternoon thunderstorms. Two more things to know: the adjacent Water Park costs extra on top of base theme-park admission, and dated tickets are non-refundable once booked, so lock the date only when you're sure. Best for families with kids in that 2-12 window, brick-building fans, and anyone happy to drive out for a gentler theme-park day.
