Tampa Parking Costs the Night Before a Cruise or a Game

If you're driving in to sail from Tampa, the port will sell you a garage spot, but it only shows the price once you pick your ship on its prepay site. On September 30, 2026, a seven-night Royal Caribbean sailing was $133 plus an $11.99 fee, which is $19 a night before the fee. Downtown hotel valet runs $39 to $58 a night. Pay that for one night and leave the car at the port for the week.
The port garage: $19 a night, bought by the sailing
A four-night Carnival Paradise sailing was $76 plus the fee, $87.99 before any checkout charges. Six nights was $114 before the fee. Every sailing we priced came to $19 a night. The $11.99 is a per-ticket processing charge, and the pass page doesn't say whether tax comes on top. The garage at 810 Channelside Drive is across the street from Terminal 3, which Carnival Paradise and Royal Caribbean's Radiance used in October 2026. Terminal 6 on McKay Street, where the Margaritaville ship sails from, has its own lot. Parking opens only when a ship is in port.
Valet is the same pass plus $20. A banner on the operator's pass page says valet often sells out, and online sales close at midnight the night before you sail. Anything taller or wider than 7 feet, or longer than 18, has to valet on a separate oversized pass. That one listed at $172 plus the fee for four nights and showed sold out on every sailing we opened. RVs aren't allowed at all. The prepay page promises a refund if you cancel before your cruise date. The vendor's own terms say every sale is final. Screenshot the refund line when you pay.
Downtown hotels that keep the car while you sail
At The Barrymore, the Ship & Shore package covers parking for up to 10 days and a shuttle to and from the port. You show your boarding pass at check-in. The room rate isn't posted. Without the package, the hotel's gated lot is $20 a night, the cheapest overnight parking of any downtown hotel we cover.
Hotel Tampa Riverwalk offers Park and Cruise: stay one night first and get 50% off parking. Its valet is $44 plus tax a night. If the half price applies to that, seven nights comes to $154 before tax, still more than the port's seven-night pass, and the hotel lists no shuttle to the terminal. In Ybor, Hotel Haya's Sail and Stay package says you can leave the car while you cruise, and it gives no price or day limit.
Embassy Suites Tampa Downtown and Hotel Flor both list Hilton's Park, Stay & Go: book one night and park for up to 7, one car per room. Hilton says only some participating hotels run a shuttle to a cruise port, and neither of these says it does. Before you book, ask how you'd get to the terminal and whether a full-week sailing fits inside those 7 nights. None of the five Marriott hotels we cover downtown lists a park-and-cruise offer.
What one night of downtown valet costs
If the car is going to the port garage, your downtown Tampa hotel only has it for a night. Embassy Suites lists valet at $55 without saying whether that's nightly or includes tax, and Hilton's booking screen adds a $35 nightly charge plus tax. Hotel Flor is $82 a night before tax ($52 valet, $30 charge). The Tampa EDITION, at 500 Channelside Drive on the same street as the port garage, charges $58 plus tax for valet, and Marriott's booking screen adds a $40 destination fee. Hotel Tampa Riverwalk says in its own FAQ that it charges none, so its $44 valet is the only extra. Le Méridien is valet only, with a $30 destination fee on Marriott's booking screen, and slow returns are the complaint that comes up most. Ask for the car early.
Walking to a Lightning game
The arena doesn't run the parking around it. Its pre-paid partner, JustPark, prices each event: for the Lightning's October 3 game, checked September 30, the Channelside Garage on 12th Street was $56.25, an 8-minute walk, and the Harbor Lot park-and-ride was $12.50, a 23-minute walk away. Several lots had already sold out, and JustPark doesn't say whether tax is included. That Channelside Garage is not the cruise garage at 810 Channelside Drive. The Lightning's own page calls it the Port Garage, which doesn't help.
The city's Pam Iorio Garage, a 3-minute walk from the arena, charges an event rate of $5 to $50 depending on the show. It's the garage the arena recommends for accessible parking, first come, first served.
Sleep one block away and your hotel valet covers the game too. The arena lists JW Marriott Tampa Water Street and Tampa Marriott Water Street at that distance. Marriott's booking screen puts a $35 destination fee on top of $55 valet at both, and an arena night can back up the valet at the JW. When the hotels' own pages gave the fee as $20, they listed a round-trip water taxi ride for two in it. The ride won't get you home from a game: the Pirate Water Taxi's last departure from the arena stop is 5:10 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:10 PM Friday through Sunday. At the EDITION, valet goes up to $60 plus tax on event nights. Westin Tampa Downtown Waterside is a walk over the Harbour Island bridge, with $50 valet and a $30 fee, and waits for the car there can run to an hour at busy times.
The free streetcar, and when it stops
The TECO Line Streetcar is free and comes every 15 minutes. Sunday through Thursday it normally quits at 11 PM, but on Lightning game nights and other weeknight arena events it runs until midnight. Fridays and Saturdays it goes until 2 AM anyway. Those are the line's hours, not a last departure from your stop, and none is posted. Get off at Water Street or Florida Aquarium for the arena.
The streetcar stops in Ybor, so a room there works for a game night. Hotel Haya's valet is $39, and its $25 destination fee takes the night to $64 before tax. HART has told Lightning fans before to park in Ybor and ride in to skip game traffic.
A Bucs weekend from Westshore
No vehicle may stay overnight on Raymond James Stadium property, so a Bucs weekend means a hotel lot for the night and a stadium lot for the game. The Bucs sell parking through Ticketmaster: team passes, fees in and tax out, were $72.95 for the Packers on October 4 and $39.30 for the Falcons on November 1. Only team-issued passes are valid, because the team bans resale. Lots open 3.5 hours before kickoff and take cards only on game day.
In Westshore, Holiday Inn Tampa Westshore self-parks the first car for $15 a night plus tax. Renaissance Tampa International Plaza is $15 a day and puts the stadium under 2 miles away. Marriott Tampa Westshore and The Westshore Grand are $20. At Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore, 1.1 miles from the stadium by Hilton's count, self-parking is $25, and guests say the free shuttle will run them to stadium events. Ask the desk before game day. Sailport Waterfront Suites, 5.7 miles out, parks up to two cars free with an $18 plus tax nightly resort fee.
Rideshare drop-off and pickup for Bucs games is at Steinbrenner Field. HART's Route 45 runs between the stadium and the Westshore Plaza transfer center for $2 a ride, capped at $4 a day if you pay with the Flamingo app or a contactless card (not cash). Stadium routes go on detour during some events.
