Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
This Renaissance stands on the International Plaza property, so the mall and the Bay Street restaurants are a walk from the lobby, and the hotel runs a free shuttle to Tampa International Airport a few minutes away. Guests mention that location more than anything else, and they call the rooms clean, with several singling out the beds. Self-parking is $15 a day and overnight valet is $35. The hotel's page lists no resort fee and doesn't say whether the parking rates include tax. Breakfast costs extra, and some guests who paid for it felt it wasn't worth the money. The bigger issue right now is a renovation. Reviews from August and September 2026 describe construction noise and a closed pool, and some guests also found the common areas messy. The hotel's own pages say nothing about the work, and we found no finish date anywhere. For one night before an early flight, or a shopping trip that keeps you out until the stores close, the work matters less, and recent guests on that kind of trip still sound happy. If you want a quiet weekend by the pool, book elsewhere until the renovation ends, or call the hotel before you book and ask what is open.

$15 a day to self-park and $35 for overnight valet. Valet runs 7am to 11pm Sunday through Thursday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday, and day valet is $15.
