Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

The front desk sits on the terminal's third-level connector at Tampa International, so you reach it from baggage claim without going outside or waiting on a shuttle. That is the whole reason this hotel exists, and stays built around a 6 am departure or a midnight landing go well. The rooms have held up since the renovation. Recent guests describe them as updated and clean, and several were surprised how quiet they stayed inside an airport, which matches the soundproof windows Marriott advertises on its own room pages. The Concierge Lounge has been closed on some weekends. That one comes from guests, and Marriott does not publish it as a policy. Lobby and public-space work runs daily from 9am to 5pm through October 9, 2026, with noise and detours. Anyone paying this much for a full-service hotel notices both, and value is where the complaints land. Self-parking is $28 a day and valet is $40, the only charges Marriott discloses on top of the room. Measure those against the airport's own garages if you are leaving the car while you fly. Check-out is noon, later than most airport hotels give you, and that hour is worth real money the morning after a 1 am landing.

You are inside Tampa International itself, on the terminal's third-level connector, so what is genuinely walkable is the airport: the shops and restaurants in the main terminal, and the airline counters and baggage claim a level or two below. Everything else in Westshore needs a car or a rideshare, including International Plaza and the Bay Street restaurants a few minutes east. Raymond James Stadium sits about two miles east of the Westshore hotel cluster, and downtown Tampa is a short drive past it.

Tampa Airport Marriott FAQ

Is the Tampa Airport Marriott actually inside the airport?

Yes. The address is 4200 George J. Bean Parkway, on the main terminal's third-level connector, so you walk from baggage claim to the lobby with no shuttle and no road crossing.

How much is parking at the Tampa Airport Marriott?

$28 a day to self-park on site, $40 a day for valet. Non-guests pay $35 for overnight self-parking and $40 for valet. Marriott does not publish a rate for oversized vehicles.

Does the hotel charge a resort or destination fee?

No. Marriott publishes no resort or destination fee for this property, which leaves parking as the only mandatory extra it discloses.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is 3:00 pm and check-out is 12:00 pm. Noon is later than most airport hotels allow, so a late arrival does not cost you the next morning.

Can I bring a dog?

Yes, up to two pets per room at 35 lbs each, for a non-refundable $150 per stay. The fee is charged once for the whole stay, not per night.

Will the lobby renovation affect a stay this week?

Between 9am and 5pm, yes. Marriott's booking notice says lobby and public-space work runs daily in those hours through October 9, 2026, with noise and detours around the ground floor. Evenings and nights are unaffected, and the guest rooms are already finished.
