For Saturday 12 December, 15 of the 17 hotels we read within a 10-minute walk of LOVE Park showed a room for that night alone. The Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City-Convention Center and the Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square didn't. Hilton's screen for the Hampton said it had no rooms for those dates, and Accor's said the Sofitel was unavailable on its site from 12 to 13 December. Both showed rooms for Friday 11 to Sunday 13 December. The Hampton also sold Saturday 5 December as a single night. The Sofitel didn't. Neither screen stated a minimum stay, so we don't know why. If you want either for the 12th, search the whole weekend.

We read each hotel's own booking screen on the morning of 4 November 2026, 38 days out, for 2 adults and 1 room on Saturday 12 December alone, and recorded no rates. To count, a hotel needed a finished page on our site and a routed walk of 10 minutes or less to LOVE Park. That left 19, and we read 17 of them. Where a screen refused, we tried Friday 11 to Sunday 13 December, then two other Saturdays on their own, 5 December and 16 January 2027. Both hotels showed rooms for 16 January. Every walk on this page is measured to the middle of LOVE Park, on a normal-day route from OpenStreetMap foot routing. It knows nothing about crowds. The park's entrances are on Cherry Street and Arch Street, per the organizer. Any of these screens can change the next day.

Closed 23 to 25 November, and no Wanamaker show this year

Christmas Village opens Saturday 21 November at LOVE Park, 1500 Arch Street, and runs to 27 December 2026. It closes Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 November, right after opening weekend, and reopens on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday 26 November, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Otherwise, per the organizer, it's open noon to 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and noon to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, so the 12th runs to 9. Christmas Eve is noon to 5 p.m., and it's closed on Christmas Day. Admission to the whole event area is free; food, drink, shopping and rides are paid. It runs rain or shine. Heavy rain or snow can close it early, and it doesn't open on a day when the weather is severe all day.

The Wanamaker Light Show isn't running this year or next. Visit Philly's page for it, which we read on 4 November, puts the show on hiatus for the 2026 and 2027 holiday seasons and has it back in 2028. It says the Wanamaker Building is being converted into offices and apartments, with retail. Dickens Village, which Visit Philly says was added there in 2025, pauses too: in 2025 6abc quoted the show's organizer saying both would stop for 2026 and 2027.

Center City District runs a separate holiday market and rink at Dilworth Park, on the west side of City Hall a few minutes away, with its own dates.

Every hotel here is 4 to 10 minutes from LOVE Park

Nine of the 19 are in our Center City East area, and the other ten are split evenly between Logan Square and Rittenhouse Square. The closest two are 4 minutes away: Aloft Philadelphia Downtown at 101 North Broad Street and The Windsor Suites at 1700 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The Notary Hotel, Philadelphia, Autograph Collection is 5, at 21 North Juniper Street.

Six are 6 minutes away: The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia (10 Avenue of the Arts), W Philadelphia (1439 Chestnut Street), the Residence Inn Philadelphia Center City (One East Penn Square), The Westin Philadelphia (99 South 17th Street at Liberty Place), The Logan Philadelphia, Curio Collection by Hilton (One Logan Square) and the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown (201 North 17th Street).

At 7 minutes are the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (1201 Market Street), the Home2 Suites by Hilton Philadelphia - Convention Center, PA (1200 Arch Street) and Club Quarters Hotel, Rittenhouse Square (1628 Chestnut Street). The Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, at 117 South 17th Street, is 8. The Hampton (1301 Race Street) and the Sofitel (120 South 17th Street), the two that wouldn't sell the 12th on its own, are 9. The longest walks are 10 minutes, from the Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia Center City at 1100 Arch Street and Motto by Hilton Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square at 31 South 19th Street.

We didn't read two of the 19 for the 12th: Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square (1800 Market Street, 7 minutes), whose booking screen we didn't try, and the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center (One North 19th Street, 8 minutes), whose reservations page stayed behind a cookie-consent wall.

Fees showed on three of the screens

The Notary's screen for the 12th included a $30 Destination Fee, inside the rate Marriott lists. The Palomar's search list showed $28 in fees per night on top of the room. That matches the hotel's $28 Guest Amenity Fee, $32.58 with tax, which includes a $20 daily food and beverage credit. The Sofitel's Urban Experience Fee is $32.58, already counted in the price Accor shows, and it appeared on the screens that sold a room. None of the other 14 we read showed a hotel fee. The Windsor Suites' screen for 17 November itemized the rate and a 16.25% City Tax with no fee line. Sonesta charges a $20 daily destination fee plus applicable taxes, per the hotel's own site.

The organizer's garage discount doesn't say what you'll pay

The organizer's page says "Christmas Village visitors receive an exclusive parking discount of $26.75" Monday to Friday, and $25.68 on Saturday and Sunday, when they register on the iParkit app. The page does not say whether those figures are the price or the saving, or for how many hours. It names the LOVE Park Garage (1501 JFK Boulevard or 1520 Cherry Street), the 15th and Sansom Garage (114 South 15th Street) and the Sonesta Garage at 1800 Market Street. That last one is at the Sonesta's address, though the hotel itself offers only valet. The code is CHRISTMAS2026 in the iParkit app's express parking program, and you can buy a one-time pass ahead in the app. The organizer also suggests SpotHero, which it says can be up to 50% off the drive-up price. Accessible parking is at the LOVE Park Garage, with an elevator to LOVE Park.

Without a car, the organizer points you to SEPTA's Regional Rail to Suburban Station, or the B, L or T to 15th St/City Hall. The buses it names are the 2, 17, 33, 38, 44, 48, 124 and 125. Under-12s and anyone 65 or older ride free, per the organizer.

Three hotels' own pages disagree on what parking costs

If you're driving, what the hotel charges for the car matters more than the walk. The Sheraton charges $53 a day to self-park and $69 for valet, per Marriott's FAQ, which doesn't say whether parking tax is included. The Hilton Garden Inn has covered self-parking and no valet. Hilton's hotel-info page puts it at $40 a day, though other versions of the page have said $45 and $37. The garage takes vehicles 6 ft 3 in or lower. The Hampton's Hilton pages have shown self-parking at $30 or none, and valet at $71, $45 or $39. The Logan's self-parking garage is at 1815 Cherry Street, and no price is given.

The Windsor Suites and the Residence Inn are both valet only at $57 a day. At the Windsor that includes tax and full in and out privileges. The Residence Inn's comes with in and out privileges, based on availability. Its garage clears 6 ft 3 in, and the hotel allows 45 minutes for car retrieval. The Palomar is valet only too, and its map page lists $57 plus tax a night with unlimited in and out, though that page may be out of date. Sonesta charges $57 per car per night Sunday to Thursday and $53 on Friday and Saturday, plus taxes and fees, so a car on the 12th is $53 before those. Motto's valet is $55, and it has no self-parking.

Aloft has valet and nothing else, and Marriott's page has shown both $65 and $71 a day. The Westin charges $70 a day and has no self-parking that we found. Visit Philly's Overnight Package has included free valet there. We didn't confirm the package for 12 December 2026. Valet at the Logan is $72 with in and out privileges. Its FAQ doesn't say whether that's a day or a night. W Philadelphia is $75 a day, and its 4 EV stations are free through the ChargePoint app. The Notary tops this list at $77.10 a day, with in and out for overnight parking only.

The Ritz-Carlton parks guests off-site. Its valet goes to the Wanamaker Building, 0.1 miles away, at $70 a day, and other off-site parking is $45 a day. We haven't checked whether the building's conversion changes that, so ask the hotel where your car would go. The Marriott Downtown parks off-site as well. Valet is $72.58 a day, and oversized vehicles are $85.44. The lot is $59 a day or $20 an hour, and the garage height is 6 ft 8 in.

The Home2 Suites has no self-parking or valet, though an earlier page named a Parkway garage next door at $65 a day. Club Quarters has nothing on site, only a partner garage at 44 South 16th Street that the hotel calls discounted, though its pages give no price. The Sofitel has valet but publishes no rate, and we didn't read the Four Seasons' overnight valet rate. Call any of these before you drive.
