Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
W Philadelphia, at 1439 Chestnut Street, has a lobby that works as a nightlife scene, and guests complain about the noise. Street noise and sirens reach the lower floors, and the hallway doors are thin. On weekends DJ sets carry from the lobby and the pool area, so book a high floor. Bringing a car adds $75 a day for valet, $150 across a two-night stay. Oversized vehicles pay $71.88 plus tax for four hours or more. The four EV charging stations are free through the ChargePoint app, while the Ritz-Carlton charges $70 a day for its two. One pet per room up to 50 pounds is allowed for a $250 non-refundable fee per stay. Reviewers also note that Wi-Fi costs extra unless you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, though the room itself carried no fee when we read the November 17, 2026 rates. At 10 minutes on foot to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, this is the longest walk of the twelve.
