Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
For a longer stay or a family, the suites are the reason to pick Residence Inn Philadelphia Center City, by City Hall at One East Penn Square, over the hotels around it: they come with a kitchen and a separate living area. The Pennsylvania Convention Center is a 5-minute walk. Layouts vary from suite to suite, so ask for the type you want. Valet is the only parking, at $57 a day with in-and-out privileges, and Marriott's page says it depends on availability. That is the lowest valet rate among the Marriott hotels here, $20.10 a day less than the Notary's. Two nights add $114 to a rate Marriott shows before tax. On the November 17, 2026 screen, that rate included no hotel fee. Marriott's page puts car retrieval at 45 minutes, so call down well before you need to leave. The four EV charging stations cost $50 a day. Up to two pets are allowed per room for a non-refundable $150 per stay. The garage is 6 ft 3 in high, and oversized vehicles pay $70 or more a day.
