In 2025, Center City was about 54% full in December and 52% in January, and Tourism Economics forecasts 51% to 58% for December 2026 through February 2027, against 72% to 78% in October and April through June. Late summer is the second dip, at 65% occupancy in August 2025. The newest night-by-night split we found is from 2019, when Center City hotels ran fullest on Saturdays, at 88.1% occupancy, and Tuesday was the busiest weeknight at 79.4%. Leisure now leads demand at 37%, ahead of group and business at 30% each, which suggests weekends carry more.
Check the Convention Center's calendar first. The Auto Show takes the hall January 16 to 24, 2027. The Inquirer reports the Flower Show for March 13 to 21, 2027. Jefferson University holds its 2027 commencement at the Convention Center on May 11 and 12, and the AIA convention follows on May 19 to 22, 2027, the biggest on Visit Philly's list at 66,000 room nights. NBC Sports Philadelphia has the Phillies at home on July 4, 2027, and Wawa Welcome America ran from June 19 to July 4 in 2026.
The Hilton Garden Inn lists covered self-parking at about $40, and Home2 Suites lists no parking at all. Philadelphia's 15.5% room tax goes on top of the room rate, plus the 0.75% PHiL levy at hotels with 50 or more rooms, about 16.25% in all. The Airport Line comes into this area at Jefferson Station for $8.75. For the stadiums and the arena, take the Broad Street Line south from City Hall to NRG Station on a $2.90 fare; SEPTA has run extra trains before Eagles games.

One of the eleven whose booking screen we read: the Notary, with a $30 Destination Fee inside the rate Marriott lists. The other ten showed none when we read them on October 29, 2026. Loews's booking screen could not be read, so its fee is not known yet. Tax is separate: 15.5% room tax, plus the 0.75% PHiL levy at hotels with 50 or more rooms, about 16.25% in all.
Valet runs $57 to $77.10 a night where the price is confirmed: $57 at the Residence Inn, $60.02 at Loews (per the hotel's own site, parking tax included), $70 at the Ritz-Carlton (off-site at the Wanamaker Building), $72.58 at the Marriott Downtown (off-site), $75 at the W and $77.10 at the Notary. The Marriott Downtown also lists an off-site lot at $59 a day or $20 an hour, and the Ritz-Carlton other off-site parking at $45 a day. The Aloft's valet is $65 or $71 depending on the page version, and the one Canopy price we found, $71.05, comes from an old Hilton snippet and is probably out of date. Self-parking is covered at the Hilton Garden Inn, about $40 a day; Home2 Suites lists none, and we have no rate for Four Points. The Hampton Inn's Hilton page has shown prices from $30 to $71.
2 minutes for the Hampton Inn, 3 for Home2 Suites and Four Points, 4 for the Aloft, the Marriott Downtown and the Notary, 5 for the Residence Inn, 6 for the Hilton Garden Inn, 7 for Loews, 8 for the Canopy, 9 for the Ritz-Carlton and 10 for the W. Walks are timed by the street route.
By SEPTA's Airport Line to Jefferson Station, on Market Street between 10th and 12th. The trip takes about 33 minutes from Terminals E and F, and trains run every 30 minutes. The fare is $8.75 by Key card or contactless. Once in Center City, the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines share a $2.90 fare.
