Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Of the eleven booking screens we read here, the Notary's is the only one that showed a hotel fee: a $30 Destination Fee, itemized as inside the rate Marriott lists for November 17, 2026. So the fee is already in the first price you see, and room tax goes on after it. Parking is valet only at $77.10 a day, the highest valet rate we found among the twelve, with in-and-out privileges for overnight parking only. Two nights of valet come to $154.20. Marriott's page also warns of limited parking during special events and weekends. The hotel sits by City Hall at 21 North Juniper Street, 4 minutes on foot from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Reviews most often complain about hallway noise from people talking outside the rooms, and one reviewer warned light sleepers about street noise around City Hall. One pet per room up to 40 pounds is allowed for a $100 non-refundable fee per stay. Check-in is 4 PM. Check-out is noon, an hour later than most of its neighbors.
