The Anthem has about 40 shows listed through August 2027, and on show days the Wharf's own garages switch to event pricing at 4 PM. DC hotel demand leans on weekdays, though we found no current day-by-day figures for the city or for The Wharf to show by how much. The Society for Neuroscience meets at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from November 14 to 18, 2026.
Lonely Planet ranks January through March lowest, with February the best bet, and Momondo's data points to August. The TRB meeting (January 10 to 14) and the Auto Show (January 22 to 31) both land in January at the Convention Center. The National Cherry Blossom Festival runs March 20 to April 11, 2027, its 100th anniversary. The Park Service has posted no peak-bloom forecast and says forecasting more than 10 days out is almost impossible; in 2026 the peak came on March 26. The NFL Draft follows on April 29 to May 1, with its fan festival on the Mall and Pennsylvania Avenue. July 4, 2027 is a Sunday, and the Mall fireworks program isn't published yet.
The Wharf's own garages charge $62 for 12 to 24 hours, less than a night of parking at six of these hotels. Two of the nine booking screens we read carried a hotel fee: the InterContinental's $35 Nightly Guest Amenities Fee ($40.58 with its tax) and the Potomac's $39 Destination Fee, already inside Marriott's rate. Pendry's own site lists one, and its screen is unread. The Office of Tax and Revenue puts the District's room tax at 15.95% through March 30, 2027, and states no rate after that. Without a car, Metrorail runs $2.25 to $6.75 on weekdays before 9:30 PM and $2.25 to $2.50 after that and all weekend.
January through March, by Lonely Planet's ranking, with February the best bet, while Momondo's data points to August. Both are aggregator reads, and we found no day-by-day rate table for The Wharf. DC hotel demand leans on weekdays. The Auto Show (January 22 to 31, 2027) and the TRB meeting (January 10 to 14) fall inside the winter window.
The Society for Neuroscience convention runs November 14 to 18, 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Spring is the long stretch: the Cherry Blossom Festival runs March 20 to April 11, 2027, and the NFL Draft is April 29 to May 1. July 4, 2027 is a Sunday, and the Mall program has not been published.
Two of the nine booking screens we read showed one: the InterContinental ($35 Nightly Guest Amenities Fee, $40.58 a night with its tax) and The Potomac Hotel ($39 Destination Fee, already inside the rate Marriott lists). The Hilton, Canopy, Hyatt House, citizenM, Hyatt Place, Holiday Inn and Residence Inn showed none on their booking screens. Pendry's own site lists a destination fee, and its booking screen is not yet read.
$40 to $90 a night before tax at the nine that list a rate. Seven list valet as their only parking: Hyatt House from $40, Hyatt Place from $55, the Hilton and Canopy $65, the InterContinental and Pendry $75 and the Potomac $90. The Holiday Inn ($65) and Residence Inn ($59) self-park. citizenM has no parking, only a third-party lot next door. The Wharf's own garages charge $39 for 4 to 12 hours on weekdays and $49 on weekends or event days, and $62 for 12 to 24 hours.
15.95% on the room rate, per the District's Office of Tax and Revenue through March 30, 2027, which gives no rate after that date. DC has no government-imposed resort fee, and the fees hotels add are taxed too: the InterContinental's screen itemized $5.58 of tax on its $35 fee.
2 to 16 minutes on foot, by the street route. The InterContinental is 2, Hyatt House and Canopy 4, Pendry 6, The Potomac Hotel and the Hilton 9, citizenM 13, Hyatt Place 14, the Holiday Inn 15 and the Residence Inn 16.
