Dallas New Year's Eve 2026 Hotels: Who Gets Onto the Reunion Tower Lawn

Reunion Tower's New Year's Eve page, still written for last year's show, rules out on-site viewing, lawn included, unless you're a guest of the Hyatt Regency Dallas or Crown Block. The Hyatt is the only hotel in that sentence. We checked 17 downtown and Uptown hotels on 27 October. Thirteen sold 31 December as a single night, the Hyatt among them, and the farthest of those is 32 minutes on foot from the tower. The other four we have no read for. hilton.com cut us off before two Hilton hotels, and we didn't read the other two.

Every availability read was made on 27 October 2026, for two adults in one room, 31 December to 1 January. Availability can change from one day to the next. Walk times are foot routes on a normal day from each hotel's address to the tower at 300 Reunion Boulevard, so they know nothing about New Year's Eve crowds or street closures. Fees come from our page for each hotel, and where the 27 October screen showed one, we quote its words.

The lawn rule and the Hyatt

Reunion Tower's page, read on 27 October, says: "There will be no onsite viewing of the Lone Star NYE 2026 event from the GeO-Deck or Lawn at Reunion Tower or other onsite property unless you are a guest of the Hyatt Regency Dallas or Crown Block." "Lone Star NYE 2026" is the tower's name for the show it put on at midnight on 31 December 2025 (the same page offers an "NYE 2026 Recap"), so this is last year's rule. Nothing for this year's show is posted yet.

The page lists a New Year's Eve dinner at Crown Block, at the top of the tower, and the Crown Room's annual party one floor below, with a view from inside "The Ball". The rule names Crown Block. It doesn't name the Crown Room party. Neither is a hotel, and we have nothing on what either costs.

The Hyatt Regency is at 300 Reunion Boulevard, the tower's own address, so the routed walk is zero. On 27 October its 31 December room list showed "ROOMS (6)" and no destination fee paragraph. Hyatt's offers page, read the same day, had no offer that mentioned New Year, NYE, Reunion Tower, fireworks or the lawn. The tower's page says only "Book your stay with Hyatt Regency Dallas for the best seats in town. To secure your reservations, visit hyatt.com", without naming a package. The rule makes Hyatt guests the exception, but it doesn't say they'll get onto the lawn, and nothing else we read does either.

Hyatt's FAQ says the hotel charges no resort or destination fee. Self-parking is $30 a night in the outdoor Radish Lot, with in and out for overnight guests only. Valet is $50 to $75 a night depending on dates, plus tax. That lot sits where Hotel Street meets Reunion Boulevard West, and the page's 2025 text says "Street closures of Reunion Blvd, Hotel St. and surrounding streets will begin around 7:30 p.m." We have nothing on how a car gets into or out of the lot on New Year's Eve.

Nearest the tower after the Hyatt

The 2025 effects launched from the tower. The page's viewing suggestions are Trinity Groves, the Ronald Kirk Bridge, Riverfront Boulevard and North Beckley Avenue. We didn't route to any of them, and nothing we read says which hotel rooms can see the tower, so we can't tell you that any hotel on this page can.

Six hotels we read sit within 19 minutes of the tower. Five are in Downtown Dallas. The sixth, SpringHill Suites, is in our Uptown and Victory Park area, though its name says West End.

The nearest is the Omni Dallas Hotel, 555 South Lamar Street, 10 minutes on foot (763 meters). Omni's booking page listed 2 room options for 31 December alone, where 12 December showed 5, and had no destination charge line.

Marriott's screen for The Adolphus listed rates for 31 December and read "Includes 25 USD Destination Fee", so the $25 a night is already in the rate Marriott's screen shows. The hotel is at 1321 Commerce Street, 17 minutes away (1,303 meters).

Three more are also 17 minutes from the tower. The Westin Dallas Downtown, 1201 Main Street (1,242 meters), and SpringHill Suites Dallas Downtown/West End, 1907 North Lamar Street (1,248 meters), both had rates and no fee line. Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown, 1015 Elm Street (1,239 meters), was priced for 31 December in IHG's search list, which is as far as we read for that night. Our page for it lists no fee, only state tax at 18.25% of the rate per night, from the booking screen for the night of 11 November.

Six rooms were listed for 31 December at the Magnolia Hotel Downtown Dallas, 1401 Commerce Street, 19 minutes away (1,394 meters). On its booking screen for the night of 11 November 2026, the Destination Fee was $18.48. Beside it were a Dallas Tourism PID Fee of $3.18 and a State Cost Recovery Fee of $3.67, with city tax and state tax on separate lines. We haven't seen those figures for 31 December. The hotel's FAQ lists all food and beverage services as temporarily unavailable. A state filing for the building's redevelopment estimates construction from July 2026 to March 2028, and we found nothing saying whether it has started, so ask the hotel before you book.

23 to 32 minutes from the tower

Four more Marriott screens put the destination fee inside the rate. At W Dallas - Victory, 2440 Victory Park Lane, it's $35 a night inside the pre-tax rate, and the walk is 23 minutes (1,732 meters). The screen for the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, 400 North Olive Street (30 minutes, 2,252 meters), read "Includes 25 USD Destination Fee". For the Dallas Marriott Downtown, 650 North Pearl Street (31 minutes, 2,347 meters), it read "Includes 30 USD Destination Fee". The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas, 2121 McKinney Avenue, carries $40 a night in the pre-tax rate. It's 32 minutes on foot (2,394 meters).

At 26 minutes (1,928 meters), the Renaissance Saint Elm Dallas Downtown Hotel, 1907 Elm Street, had rates and no fee line.

Hôtel Swexan, 2575 McKinnon Street, showed 17 room listings for 31 December, and it's 31 minutes from the tower (2,300 meters). The destination fee is $45 a night, and the booking screen for the night of 11 November 2026 also showed a $12.00 Tourism Fee and a $4.50 State Cost Recovery Fee, with taxes on separate lines. We haven't seen those two for 31 December.

Four with no 31 December read

The Statler Dallas, Curio Collection by Hilton, 1914 Commerce Street, is 23 minutes from the tower (1,748 meters), and Lorenzo Hotel Dallas, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, 1011 South Akard Street, is 26 (1,915 meters). hilton.com stopped answering on 27 October once our searches hit its session limit. It showed "Something went wrong" for both, and again an hour later. Our pages for both list no fee, and we have no 31 December screen to check that against.

The Joule is 20 minutes away (1,465 meters) and Fairmont Dallas 24 (1,795 meters). We didn't read either for 31 December, and neither has a fee we could confirm on its booking screen.

What the tower hasn't posted for 2026

The show the page describes is the 2025 one: the tenth edition, Wednesday 31 December 2025 at 11:59 p.m., with over 5,000 pyrotechnic effects and 500 drones. It also lists what it calls a 259 LED light display, and a Lone Star NYE special on NBC5-KXAS from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. We take none of that as 2026. Nothing on the page gives a 2026 date or closure time. Two headings already say 2027, "Crown Room NYE Ball 2027" and "LONE STAR NYE 2027 AT REUNION TOWER SPONSORS", and under watch parties it says "More information to come!"

Read the tower's New Year's Eve page (reuniontower.com/things-to-do/new-years-eve) and Hyatt's offers page again in December. If you'd rather stay in Fort Worth, we cover Fort Worth's New Year's Eve hotels separately.
