Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Reunion Tower stands next door to the Hyatt Regency Dallas, and an underground concourse runs from the hotel to Union Station. Hyatt's FAQ says the hotel charges no resort or destination fee, and its booking screen for November 11 listed rooms at an average nightly rate with no fee paragraph. Self-parking in the outdoor lot at the north end of the property is $30 a night, with in and out for overnight guests only. Valet runs $50 to $75 a night depending on your dates, tax not included. The EV chargers sit in the valet garage, so charging a car means handing it to the valet. Dogs are welcome at $150 for stays up to six nights, up to 50 pounds each and two to a room. Hyatt's policies page quotes room taxes at 17.30%. The hotel runs no shuttle, and its FAQ sends you to DART or a rideshare. The convention center is a 14-minute walk, and the blocks around the hotel are thin on nightlife you can reach on foot.
