Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
The Adolphus runs a courtesy house car, a luxury vehicle available within a 3-mile radius on a first come, first served basis, and it is the one parking perk at a hotel whose FAQ says, "We do not offer self-parking." Overnight valet is $68 as of October 1 by that same FAQ, which also lists $26 for a daily visit. Marriott's November 11 rate already carried the $25 destination fee, and valet adds $68 a night to that rate, so fee and parking come to $93 a night before any tax, or $279 across three nights. Reviews turn up billing errors, double charges among them, so go through the bill line by line at checkout. The hotel has a spa, a pool, a barber shop and the French Room restaurant, and the rooms are large. Eleven minutes on foot reaches the convention center. Pets are allowed, two per room and no cats, for a $150 cleaning fee per stay. Marriott's page sets the limit at 80 pounds each, and the hotel's own FAQ says 40.
