Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Guests at the W report rooftop pool-deck parties on summer weekends and crowds in the street once an arena event lets out, and both come with the address: 361 meters from the American Airlines Center on the routed walk, five minutes. Neighboring rooms throw parties too. Valet backs up at the same moment the crowd leaves, so if you want the car after a game, ask for it early. Staff are described as friendly and rooms as clean, and the complaints are about the setting. Some find the amenities thin for a W and mention construction nearby. Marriott's rate list for November 11, 2026 read "Includes 35 USD Destination Fee" on prices shown before tax. Valet is off-site at $70 a day, by Marriott's page for the hotel, which doesn't say whether tax is added. Three nights carry $105 of the fee, plus tax, and a car brings fee and valet for those three nights to $315 before tax. A high floor away from the elevators is the usual way to buy some quiet.
