Two stages set the busy nights here: the Dolby Theatre, where the Oscars are on Sunday, March 14, 2027, and the Hollywood Bowl up the hill, which has shows booked through November 21 this year. At hotels with 50 or more rooms, the city's 14% tax and a tourism assessment of at least 2% add about 16% before any destination fee.

The Bowl isn't done for the year. My Chemical Romance has dates from Wednesday, October 21 to Saturday the 31st, and Aerosmith & Friends overlaps from Thursday the 29th to Sunday, November 1, the same weekend L.A. Comic Con is at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Jimmy Eat World plays Saturday, November 7, Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean the next night, the Jonas Brothers on Wednesday and Thursday, November 18 and 19, and Steve Lacy on the 21st. Several of those are weeknights. We found no weekday-against-weekend hotel figures for Hollywood or for Los Angeles as a whole. The tourism district's July release put its hotels citywide at 73.1% occupancy for the year to date, against 71.8% a year earlier.
Oscar Sunday is March 14, 2027, at the Dolby Theatre inside Ovation Hollywood. The Hollywood Christmas Parade is Sunday, November 29. February's two big nights happen away from Hollywood: the Grammys at Crypto.com Arena on the 7th, and the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on the 14th. This year the Bowl's summer season ran June to September, with July Fourth fireworks on July 2 to 4. We found no monthly hotel figures for Hollywood recent enough to print, so there's no cheap season we can back with a number. The Bowl's home page lists nothing between Steve Lacy on November 21 and Def Leppard on May 1, 2027. Away from the parade and the big Sundays in February and March, that stretch is where we'd price first.
The city taxes the room at 14%. Measure TT would have raised it to 16% through 2028 and lost in June, 52.87% to 47.13%. Hotels with 50 or more rooms also owe a tourism assessment of at least 2%, which they can pass on as its own line, so expect about 16% on top of the rate at the bigger hotels. Loews Hollywood adds a $30 destination fee plus tax, and the Hollywood Roosevelt $37 with tax included. Valet is $63 plus tax at the Godfrey and $65 plus tax at Loews. At the Roosevelt it's $79, tax in. Loews guests can self-park for $25 plus tax in the Ovation Hollywood garage, with no in-and-out. For the other eight hotels we cover, we found no published parking rate or fee. Metro is $1.75 a ride and stops charging after $5 in a day.
About 16% at hotels with 50 or more rooms. The City of Los Angeles charges a 14% room tax, and those hotels pay a tourism district assessment of at least 2%, which they're allowed to pass on if it's shown separately as the LATMD Assessment or Tourism Assessment. Hotels under 50 rooms aren't assessed. Measure TT, which would have raised the city tax to 16% through 2028, failed on June 2, 2026, so the 14% stays. Destination fees and parking come on top of all of it.
Two publish one, and a third charges one without saying how much. Loews Hollywood adds $30 a night plus tax. The Hollywood Roosevelt's is $37 a day with tax already in, so don't compare the two numbers raw. The Godfrey charges a nightly amenity fee and names no amount; it includes a $10 nightly food and drink credit at ALK and the I|O Rooftop. We found no published fee for the other eight hotels we cover, so read the fee line on the booking screen before you pay.
$25 plus tax a day to self-park at Loews, and $63 to $79 a night for valet where a hotel prints the rate. Loews guests use the Ovation Hollywood garage, with no in-and-out at that price; Loews valet is $65 plus tax and does include in-and-out. The Godfrey's valet is $63 plus tax with unlimited in-and-out. The Roosevelt's is $79 with the tax included. We found no published parking rate for the other eight hotels we cover, so call ahead if you're driving.
On foot or on the free shuttle, not by car. Take the Metro B Line to Hollywood/Highland, then walk about 15 minutes uphill or board the Bowl Shuttle at Orange Court, Level Two, in Ovation Hollywood. It runs about every 15 to 20 minutes from 2.5 hours before the show and is free with a Metro ticket or pass. The ride back picks up at Lot B. A Metro ride is $1.75. The Bowl calls its own parking extremely limited and warns it may sell out, and it asks people not to park in the surrounding neighborhoods. Rideshare drops at Lot C, 6655 Odin Street.
Sunday, March 14, 2027, at the Dolby Theatre, live on ABC at 4 p.m. Pacific. The Academy says the date is subject to change. The Dolby is inside Ovation Hollywood, and Loews Hollywood is right next door. The LA Marathon is the Sunday before, March 7.
Burbank, if you can get a flight into it. The Kimpton Everly's own driving directions add up to about 8 miles to Burbank and more than 20 to LAX. From LAX, Loews Hollywood points guests to a shuttle run by Ascend in Motion at $35 a person, booked directly with them, leaving the hotel at 5am, 8am, 11am, 3pm and 6:15pm.
