Pasadena's expensive nights follow the Rose Bowl's calendar, and on January 1, 2027 the Rose Parade on Colorado Boulevard and a College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the stadium fall on the same day. Fees pull the hotels apart as well: the Langham adds $70 a night, and Hotel Dena's FAQ lists no resort fee at all.

We found no published weekday-against-weekend hotel figure for Pasadena, so the dates worth knowing are the stadium's. UCLA has four home games left at the Rose Bowl this year: Michigan State on Saturday, October 24 at 12:30 p.m., Nevada a week later, Illinois on Friday, November 13 at 6 p.m., and USC on Saturday, November 28, with no kickoff time yet. The Rose Bowl Flea Market takes over on the second Sunday of every month, which makes it November 8 and December 13. Downtown has the Convention Center on Green Street, and the bureau counts more than 1,650 hotel rooms within walking distance of it. Its event calendar wouldn't load for the coming months, so price a Tuesday against a Saturday before you assume either one is the cheap night.
New Year's week is the one to stay away from. The 138th Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game are both on Friday, January 1, and the side events start days before. Bandfest is on East Colorado December 29 and 30, and Floatfest runs at Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards from January 1 to 3. Of the hotels we cover, Visit Pasadena lists only the AC Hotel on South Madison and the Pasadena Hotel & Pool on East Colorado among the closest to the route. We found no month-by-month occupancy for Pasadena, so there is no cheap season we can name with a number behind it. Outside parade week, a night with no game or flea market on it has nothing from the stadium pushing it up.
The city puts its room tax at 12.11% and its tourism district assessment at 4.89% through June 2033, 17% between them before any hotel fee. The Langham's $70 guest amenity fee comes with tax on top, and valet at $50 overnight is the only way to park there. The Pasadena Hotel & Pool adds a $15.76 resort fee. Its FAQ prices self-parking at $29 a night in most answers and $32 in one, and at $45 during Rose Bowl weekend. Hotel Dena charges $36 to self-park overnight. The Metro A Line has six stations in Pasadena on a $1.75 base fare, and for the Rose Bowl Game you ride it to Memorial Park and pick up the free stadium shuttle.
Not across the parade route after 10 p.m. Vehicle access to the route closes at 10 p.m. on December 31 and reopens at 2 p.m. on January 1. The route comes up Orange Grove Boulevard and turns east along Colorado Boulevard, then north on Sierra Madre Boulevard to Villa Street. People can camp at the curb from noon on the 31st. If your hotel is near Colorado, check in early or come by train. Memorial Park station is about 0.2 mile from the route and Del Mar about 0.3. Lake and Allen are about 0.4 each. The parade starts at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 1, 2027.
For the Rose Bowl Game, ride the Metro A Line to Memorial Park station and follow the signs to the free shuttle, which loads on Pasadena Avenue between Walnut Street and Holly Street. The train fare is $1.75. That's the 2026 setup, and Visit Pasadena says its page will be updated later. Driving costs more at both ends: parking at Parsons, where the shuttle starts, was $65 plus a $5 fee per car on game day, and the Pasadena Hotel & Pool charges $45 a night to park during Rose Bowl weekend.
Two of the three we could verify do. The Langham Huntington charges a $70 guest amenity fee per room per night, plus tax. The Pasadena Hotel & Pool adds a $15.76 resort fee to the nightly rate. Hotel Dena's FAQ lists a $50 nightly pet fee but no resort fee. The AC Hotel, Courtyard, Hilton, Hyatt Place, Residence Inn and Westin pages wouldn't open for us, so check the fee line on their booking screens before you pay.
About $29 to $36 a night to self-park, and $50 where valet is the only choice. Hotel Dena charges $36 overnight and $15 for day use. The Pasadena Hotel & Pool's FAQ gives $29 a night with in-and-out privileges in most answers and $32 in one, and $45 during Rose Bowl weekend. The Langham is valet only at $50 overnight, and you can't park on the street there. The city's public parking page doesn't list garage rates and sends you to its map or to 626-817-0827.
17%. The city's transient occupancy tax is 12.11%, and the tourism business improvement district assessment is 4.89% from July 2024 through June 30, 2033. Hotel fees come on top, and at the Langham its $70 amenity fee carries tax of its own.
Burbank. The Langham puts it 16 miles and 23 minutes away by car, against 26 miles and 45 minutes to LAX and 36 miles and 39 minutes to Ontario. Those are the Langham's own figures, so a hotel downtown will be a little different. Without a car, the A Line runs to Union Station, where the FlyAway bus leaves for LAX.
