Hotel Dena is built so you can stay put. The heated pool has its own kitchen from 11 am to 7 pm, and breakfast is at Lyric. Take One Market sells sandwiches and coffee. Agents Only Bar & Lounge runs happy hour from 5 to 7 on weekdays, and room service goes until at least 10:30 at night. If you're driving in with a dog and want a pool afternoon more than a night out, it makes sense. The hotel's FAQ puts Old Town within walking distance but never says how far, and its own pages can't agree on when the pool opens (6 am in the FAQ, 7 am on the pool page). You have to be 21 to check in, or be with someone who is, which shuts out a college group traveling on its own. Dogs cost $50 a night per room. Overnight self-parking is $36 a day, with nothing said about tax or in-and-out, and the hotel mentions no valet. Bring the car and the dog for three nights and you've spent $258 before the room rate. The marriott.com rate screen shows no destination fee, so there's no fee on top of that.
