The Hollywood Grande's own offer is to valet the car and see Hollywood on foot, and nowhere does it say what the valet costs. Its own site gives no nightly parking rate, and self-parking and in-and-out go unmentioned. Rooms book through Marriott, and Marriott's rate screen shows a $35 a night destination fee that none of the hotel's own pages mention. Call 323-955-1541 and ask what the valet costs before you drive over. The roof is why you'd book. Bar Lis runs Sunset Hour from 6 to 9, Tuesday to Saturday, and from Thursday to Saturday it keeps going as a nightlife spot after 10. If your evening starts with a drink upstairs, this hotel makes sense. Anyone planning an early night is paying for a roof they won't use. Several room types list Sferra linens and the Studio King suite has a marble bath, but only some rooms have a terrace or balcony, so request one when you book. Check-in is 4 pm. Noon check-out helps after a Saturday on the roof, and a light sleeper should ask how far the room sits from it.
