The Braves open 2027 on the road at the Dodgers on March 25. Their first home game is Friday, April 2, against Houston. Discover Atlanta's citywide guide calls December through February the cheapest stretch outside holidays and big events, and says New Year's Eve still lifts prices. The same guide says business demand lifts weekday rates in Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead and names Sunday nights as good value. We found no day-of-week figures for the Cumberland area. Our own read on October 29 found two hotels here, the Hampton Inn and the DoubleTree Suites, with no rooms for Tuesday, November 17, and rooms for Tuesday, December 1.
Treat the home stands as the blackout dates. Boston visits May 18 to 20. Pittsburgh comes May 28 to 30 over Memorial Day weekend, and the Yankees follow June 18 to 20 over Father's Day weekend. July has nine home games in a row before the All-Star break, and 12 of the last 18 games of the season are at Truist Park in September. Dates could move with the MLB labor dispute. The Cobb Convention Center Atlanta, next to the Renaissance, reopened in January 2026, and its expansion continues into early 2027.
The taxes are Cobb County's. ZIP codes 30339 and 30080 carry 6% state tax and 8% hotel tax, 14% in all against Atlanta's 16.9%. Georgia adds its $5 a night state hotel-motel fee, and the Wingate screen in 30339 also lists a $3 flat Cobb County Tax. None of the eleven booking screens added a hotel fee. Four hotels park you free, and of the seven that charge, the Omni's $60 a night is valet only. No MARTA rail line reaches Truist Park. An older AJC transit guide has CobbLinc Route 10 leaving MARTA's Arts Center station for the Cumberland Transfer Center, where you change to the free Cumberland District Circulator. MARTA's Route 12 bus from Midtown station meets the same Circulator. The AJC said Route 10 runs every day, but the Braves' own page says it doesn't run on Sundays, so check with CobbLinc before a Sunday game.
Winter, going by Discover Atlanta's citywide guide, which calls December through February the cheapest stretch outside holidays and big events, with New Year's Eve still raising prices. The Braves don't play at home until Friday, April 2, 2027. We found no rate table for this area. Check the night you want: on October 29 the Hampton Inn and the DoubleTree Suites showed no rooms for Tuesday, November 17.
Hotel fees add nothing, since none of the 11 booking screens we read carried one. Parking does. It is free at the Hampton Inn, Wingate, Holiday Inn Express and Hyatt Place, $10 to $35 a day for self-parking at six hotels (the Renaissance also offers valet at $45), and $60 a night at the Omni, which is valet only. Tax is on top, and Georgia adds a $5 a night state hotel-motel fee to every room.
No. Eight of the 11 have Atlanta addresses and three are in Smyrna, but ZIP codes 30339 and 30080 carry Cobb County rates: 6% state and 8% hotel tax, 14% in all, plus Georgia's $5 a night. Atlanta's own stack is 16.9%. The Wingate screen, in 30339, also itemized a $3 flat Cobb County Tax.
Mostly, to get here. No MARTA rail line reaches Truist Park. The bus route in an older AJC guide is CobbLinc Route 10 from Arts Center station, with a transfer to the free Cumberland District Circulator, and the Braves' page says Route 10 doesn't run on Sundays. None of the hotel pages we read lists an airport shuttle, and Hilton puts Hartsfield-Jackson about 17 miles from the DoubleTree Suites. Once you're checked in, every hotel is 2 to 18 minutes on foot from the park.
Aloft, at 2 minutes on foot to Battery Avenue Southeast outside the park. The Omni is 4 minutes and the DoubleTree Suites 5. The Hampton Inn is 6. The farthest are the Hyatt Place at 16 minutes and the Tru at 18 minutes to the Truist Park plaza.
Eight do: Aloft ($50 a night), the Omni ($125 a stay, up to 25 pounds), the Hampton Inn ($75), the Sheraton Suites ($150), the Renaissance ($50 a night), the Residence Inn ($100), the Hyatt Place (dogs only; two Hyatt listings give $75 and $100 for 1 to 6 nights) and the Tru ($50). The DoubleTree Suites and Holiday Inn Express don't allow pets, and the Wingate page we read doesn't state a policy.
