Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Hyatt Place Atlanta/Cobb Galleria gives up walking time for free parking. It's in Smyrna, and the park is 16 minutes away on foot, 1,215 meters. Self-parking is free for registered guests. Hyatt's booking screen for November 17 showed no destination fee. Smyrna's tax applies: 14% plus Georgia's $5 a night hotel-motel fee. Check-in is 3 PM and check-out noon. Reviews describe the rooms as clean and spacious. One or two review summaries say the lot can fill before the hotel does, and highway noise comes up as a weaker note. Dogs are allowed, two per room, each 50 pounds or under and 75 pounds combined. The fee is unsettled: a search summary of the hotel's policy page gives $75 for 1 to 6 nights, and another Hyatt listing says $100. The hotel's page lists four EV chargers, but the free parking is worded for gas-powered vehicles, and we found no price for charging.
