The Royal Sonesta, which was the Kimpton Hotel Palomar, lists a $35 daily destination fee plus applicable taxes, per the hotel's own site, and the fee includes a $15 daily food and beverage credit at The Riggsby, the restaurant on site. The credit only helps if you eat there. The same page lists two bottled waters a day, basic Wi-Fi, in-room coffee, Electra cruiser bikes and calls. We have not read the booking screen to confirm the amount. That site leaves parking blank, a "Parking" link with nothing behind it, so ask before you drive. Leave early without telling the front desk at check-in and, per the same site, the hotel charges one night's room rate plus tax. Up to two pets per suite stay free, with no breed or weight restrictions. There is a seasonal outdoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center. The standard queens run small, and the king studios have the room.
