Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
The LINE DC fills a 110-year-old church building at 1770 Euclid St NW in Adams Morgan, and it is the farthest hotel in this area from Dupont Circle: 19 minutes on foot, 1,449 meters. The hotel's pages say an amenity fee exists and list what it covers, including priority reservations at the hotel's restaurants, but they give no amount. The booking screen for November 17 did: $27.00 with $4.31 of tax, $31.31 a night, before the 15.95% room tax. Valet is the only parking, $35 plus tax for the day and $65 plus tax overnight at the Champlain Street entrance, and a car still in the garage past midnight on departure day is charged the overnight rate. Park overnight and the fee and valet total $96.31 before the parking tax. Rooms and the gym come up as dated, and service as uneven. Pets stay free, dogs and cats, with the guest paying for any damage or cleaning. The LINE brand belongs to Soho House & Co.
