The Elser rents out privately owned condo units as an all-suite hotel, and that one fact explains both what guests love and what they complain about. The building-wide parts land consistently: a rooftop pool and hot tub, bay and skyline views, and staff that guests name individually for being warm and attentive. Overall sentiment runs strongly positive, but a vocal minority is far less satisfied, and that split is the tell. Each suite is furnished and maintained by its own owner, so room condition swings from one stay to the next. Check-in is the other repeat gripe: guests describe long waits with little explanation, at the same front desk they praise for kindness. Do the fee math before you compare this to anything else. The $59 nightly amenity fee is charged before tax, and it covers the rooftop pool, the two-story fitness complex, daily yoga and fitness classes, Wi-Fi, and access to a beach club over on South Beach. Overnight self parking is $63 plus tax, valet $84. That's about $122 a night in add-ons before tax if you self park, and breakfast is charged separately again. It's worth that for a full kitchen, in-unit laundry and a couple of bedrooms a walk from Bayfront Park and Kaseya Center. Look elsewhere if you need a fast arrival and a room you can predict.
