You're swimming in spring water pulled from an underground aquifer, and the pool gets refilled daily with over 820,000 gallons of it. It sits at 76°F all year, which sounds pleasant on paper and lands cold for the first minute you're in. This is a swim outing rather than a walk-through sight. Most people settle in, work through the two waterfalls and the cave-like grottos a few times, and pick at the limited on-site menu. The operator doesn't publish a typical visit length, but 2 to 3 hours is a fair plan. It suits families with kids who clear the gate and adults who'd rather do a historic swim than another beach day. That gate is the first catch: kids must be at least 3 years old and 38 inches tall, it's checked at entry, and the operator lists no exception, so a trip with a toddler ends in the parking lot. The bigger catch is capacity. Once the pool fills, online sales close for the day and the walk-up window shuts too. Rainchecks and refunds aren't offered, and you can't get back in without your receipt, so a lunch run off-site can cost you the afternoon you already paid for. Non-resident admission is $23 for anyone 13 and up and $18 for children 3 to 12. Coral Gables residents pay $7 and $6 with proof of residency.

How much is parking at Venetian Pool?
The operator doesn't publish a rate. Their FAQ describes two lots in front of the facility, one facility-adjacent and one across from the entrance gate by the De Soto Fountain roundabout, plus overflow at Salvadore Park less than half a mile away, but it never states a price. Some third-party sites call the lots free; that isn't confirmed by Coral Gables, so budget for the possibility of paying.
