Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

IHG's booking screen listed no rooms at the Willard for November 17 or 18, so the fee here is per the hotel's own site: a $35 daily amenity fee on its amenities page, in effect since November 18, 2024 and called subject to change, with no word on whether tax applies. Use everything it carries and it is worth $50: a $20 food and beverage credit, a $20 spa credit and a $10 valet laundry credit, along with daily bottled water and high-speed Wi-Fi. A guest who uses none of the credits is left with the water and the Wi-Fi, plus 15% off at Charles Schwartz & Son, the in-house jeweler. Parking is valet only, $78 overnight with unrestricted in and out, in a garage that stops at 6 feet 5 inches and turns away buses, campers, RVs and cars with trailers. With a car, the fee and valet reach $113 a night before any tax on the fee. Dogs up to 40 pounds pay a $200 non-refundable cleaning fee plus a deposit whose amount the page does not give.
