Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Hilton announced the debut of the Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill in February 2021, and Destination DC lists Bistro 525, on site, as open for breakfast and lunch. From the door at 525 New Jersey Ave NW it is 5 minutes to Union Station. A car means valet at $70 a night; Hilton's page gives no tax line for it. Pets are allowed for a non-refundable $75. Check-in is 4 PM, with checkout at noon. What we found about the rooms came from a handful of recent reviews, and it was mixed. Some found them spacious and quiet, with a varied breakfast. The staff come up as helpful. Others had dated or musty rooms and broken in-room fittings. One 2026 reviewer found the service below what the Hilton name implies, and another noted there was no kettle. Hilton's screen for November 18 printed no mandatory charge line. The night before, it had no rooms to show.
