Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

The Four Seasons Orlando is the area's true luxury play, and the honest way to book it is as a destination resort that happens to hold Disney perks. Explorer Island is a five-acre water park: a lazy river with a rapids stretch, two 242-foot slides, a splash zone, dive-in movies, and a separate adults-only infinity pool looking over the lake. The spa and golf are real, service is Four Seasons, and it sits inside Golden Oak, Disney's gated residential enclave, which keeps the grounds hushed. Know the 2026 nuances: Capa came off the Michelin star list in June (now Recommended), Forbes rates hotel and spa at four stars, and a roughly $50-a-night resort fee arrived around 2025, joining mandatory $42 valet with no self-parking, on rates that start around four figures most of the year. The Disney logistics are ordinary luxury-shuttle fare: 30-minute early entry (confirmed through 2027), no Extended Evening Hours, and a scheduled motor coach every 30 minutes to Magic Kingdom via the TTC and roughly hourly elsewhere; park commandos will want a car. Breakfast is extra and the character meal gets loud and crowded. It suits families and couples for whom the resort is half the vacation. If the plan is rope drop to fireworks daily, the money works harder at the Swan campus.

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World FAQ

Does the Four Seasons Orlando get Disney perks?

Thirty-minute early entry at all four parks, confirmed through 2027, plus a Disney Planning Center in the lobby. It does not get Extended Evening Hours; among non-Disney hotels those stay with the Swan campus and Shades of Green.

How do you get to the parks from the Four Seasons?

A complimentary scheduled motor coach: every 30 minutes to Magic Kingdom, arriving at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and roughly hourly to the other parks. It's comfortable and punctual, and still a schedule; families doing long park days usually prefer driving.

Is the Four Seasons worth it for a park-focused trip?

Usually not. The rate, the ~$50 resort fee, and $42 valet buy a resort you'd barely see between rope drop and fireworks. It earns its price when Explorer Island, the spa, and slow mornings are half the plan.
