WonderWorks is the upside-down building on International Drive, and it's edutainment aimed at kids and tweens first. Behind the flipped facade sit 100+ hands-on exhibits across themed WonderZones: Natural Disasters, Space Discovery, Light & Sound, Imagination Lab, and the Physical Challenge. The All-Access ticket is the one that makes sense here, since it folds in the extras that cost more at a lot of places: the 4-D motion theater, laser tag, and a 3-story, 36-foot glow-in-the-dark indoor ropes course with 20+ obstacles. It's entirely indoors and fully air-conditioned, open late to midnight, which makes it one of the better rainy-day or beat-the-heat stops on I-Drive. Most people spend 2 to 4 hours and set their own pace. The catch: this is squarely a kids' place. Adults without children along often find it small, and the gate price can feel steep without a coupon. On a peak-summer weekend the ropes course and laser tag back up badly, and this Orlando location is smaller than the Pigeon Forge and Branson ones. Go in expecting an indoor, self-guided stop rather than a theme park. Best for families with kids and tweens, an evening or late-night outing, or anyone on International Drive who wants an air-conditioned break from the parks.
