Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

SEA LIFE is the air-conditioned break in your International Drive day: an indoor aquarium tucked inside ICON Park with around 5,000 creatures across nine-plus themed zones. The centerpiece is a 360-degree walk-through ocean tunnel, and there's an interactive touch pool plus scheduled feeding demos and keeper talks that give young kids something to do beyond looking through glass. It's self-guided and compact, so most people are through in about 60 to 90 minutes. That size is also the catch. Paying full gate price for this one stop feels thin when you're done in an hour and a half. It earns its keep bundled into an ICON Park combo with Madame Tussauds and/or The Wheel, where the per-attraction cost drops and you get a full afternoon. Two more things to plan around: ICON Park parking is paid and booked separately from your ticket, and summer weekends pack the tunnel, so a weekday morning runs calmer. This suits families with young children, anyone who needs an indoor escape from Orlando's heat or a rainy afternoon, and travelers already staying on International Drive who can walk over. Go in treating it as a supporting stop on a bigger ICON Park afternoon and it delivers a calm, kid-friendly hour in the AC.

SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium FAQ

How long does SEA LIFE Orlando take?

About 60 to 90 minutes. It's self-guided and compact, so most families are through in under two hours.

Is it worth it on its own or should I get a combo?

The combo is the better value. On its own you're paying gate price for roughly 90 minutes; an ICON Park combo with Madame Tussauds and/or The Wheel spreads the cost across a full afternoon.

Is parking included at ICON Park?

No. ICON Park parking is paid and booked separately from your aquarium ticket.
