The Buena Vista Palace is a location-and-pool buy. The location: a pedestrian skybridge drops you directly into Disney Springs, which means restaurant evenings with no car and no parking fee. The pool: a winding zero-entry float lagoon with free tubes, heated to the low 80s, open 7am to 11pm, and genuinely the best water feature on the Disney Springs hotel row. It's an official Walt Disney World hotel, so you get 30-minute early entry at all four parks; you do not get Extended Evening Hours or the 7-day Lightning Lane window, which is the fine print that separates this row from the Swan and Dolphin campus. Now the 3.8: the rooms behind all this date to a 2016 renovation and reviews increasingly call them tired, with thin walls and the occasional maintenance miss, varying by tower versus island building. The fee stack runs steep for the product, a $41-plus-tax resort fee and $38-plus-tax parking, roughly $89 a night together, and the park shuttle the fee covers is hourly and reservation-required, so most guests drive anyway. Late checkout costs $50. It suits families who'll live in the lagoon and walk to Disney Springs nightly, priced well under Disney deluxe. Light sleepers and room-quality buyers should look at Drury or the Swan campus.

Can you really walk to Disney Springs from the Buena Vista Palace?
Yes, over a dedicated skybridge straight into the Marketplace side. It's the closest thing the Disney Springs hotel row has to living on property, and it makes car-free dinner nights genuinely practical.
How does the Buena Vista Palace shuttle to the parks work?
It's the hotel's own bus, roughly hourly, reservations required up to 72 hours ahead, covered by the resort fee. It's nothing like Disney's continuous transport, and most guests end up driving or ridesharing instead.
