Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
The Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is the dependable middle of the Disney Springs hotel row: a full-service, 814-room resort with multiple restaurants, two heated pools with a splash pool for kids, and a five-minute walk over the pedestrian bridge to the Marketplace side of Disney Springs. As an official Walt Disney World hotel it carries the 30-minute early-entry perk at all four parks, confirmed through 2027; like the whole row, it does not get Extended Evening Hours or the 7-day Lightning Lane window. The honest math: a resort fee around $39 plus 12.5% tax and parking in the high $30s add roughly $80 a night, and the park shuttle that fee funds is hourly, multi-stop, and reservation-required, so treat it as a backup rather than the plan. The rooms are the roulette: about $25 million of rolling updates means refreshed rooms share hallways with worn ones, compact bathrooms included, and which you get is luck unless you ask at booking and again at the desk. It suits families and groups who want on-site restaurants, real pools, and walkable Disney Springs evenings at mid-tier pricing. If free breakfast and newer construction matter more than full service, Drury two doors down is the sharper value.

Does the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista get Disney perks?
Thirty-minute early entry at all four parks, every day, confirmed through 2027. It does not get Extended Evening Hours or the 7-day Lightning Lane window; on this row only the Swan/Dolphin campus hotels carry those.
Is the park shuttle here practical?
Treat it as a backup. Departures are hourly and multi-stop with required reservations, first bus about 90 minutes before park opening. Most guests drive or rideshare and budget the parking fee instead.
How do I get a renovated room here?
Ask at booking and again at check-in. The property has been updating rooms in waves rather than all at once, so refreshed and dated rooms coexist; the difference is noticeable.
What is the resort fee at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista?
About $39 a night plus 12.5% tax. Add self-parking in the high $30s and the add-ons come to roughly $80 a night on top of the room rate. The fee funds the park shuttle, which is hourly, multi-stop and reservation-required, so it is worth less in practice than it sounds.
How far is the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista from Disney Springs?
About a five-minute walk, over the pedestrian bridge to the Marketplace side. That walk is the main reason to book this row: dinner and shopping without moving the car or waiting on a bus. The hotel itself is full-service, with multiple restaurants and two heated pools if you would rather not leave.
Is the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista pet friendly?
Yes, dogs up to 40 pounds combined, and a fee applies. Read that limit carefully: the 40 pounds is a combined cap covering the total weight of the dogs you bring, so check the math before you plan on more than one. Confirm the current fee when you book.
