We found no on-site self-parking at the Omni, so the cheapest place to leave a car is the city garage next door: $22 a vehicle, with no in-and-out and no word on tax. Omni's directions page lists overnight valet at $48 plus tax with unlimited in-and-out, or $55 plus tax for oversized vehicles, and it says those prices can change without notice. None of the seven room options on the booking screen carried a destination charge, leaving $22 as the least a driver adds. The 618-room hotel is at 1300 Houston Street, and reviews place it across the street from the convention center. Sundance Square Plaza is an 11-minute walk, longer than from any hotel here but the Sheraton. The Mokara Spa is on site. Reviews call the pool small for a hotel this size, and the halls get noisy at night. Staff draw steady praise, the valet crew included.
