Kimpton Harper's best feature is on the 24th floor: Refinery 714, a rooftop cocktail lounge, in a 226-room hotel at 714 Main Street that also has il Modo, an Italian restaurant, on the ground floor. The hotel's site mentions no pool, and rooms run about 280 to 350 square feet. Some guests report slow check-in and rooms that weren't ready on arrival. IHG's booking screen listed the taxes and fees as percentages of the rate, per night: City Tax at 9.8%, State Tax at 6.5%, Venue Tax at 2%, a Fort Worth PID Fee at 2% and a Texas Green Energy Fee at 4.5%. Every $100 of room rate therefore carries $24.80, and $6.50 of it is the two fees. The screen also listed a $100 per night hold. Parking is $45 self or $55 valet a day on IHG's page. The hotel's own site lists 24-hour valet at the Main Street entrance, with in-and-out for overnight guests, and names no price. Pets stay free, at any weight and of any breed.
