Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Guests find Virgin Hotels Dallas stylish and the rooms clean. Staff come across as helpful and friendly, the valet and restaurant teams most of all. It is on Turtle Creek Boulevard in the Design District, a 1,454-meter, 19-minute walk from the American Airlines Center. Showers and daily housekeeping are generally reliable. The price breakdown on its booking screen for 17 November lists a $35 destination fee with $6 of tax on it and a separate $4 state recovery fee. The nightly price it advertises already includes the destination fee. We have no parking amount for it. The room divider is thin and hallway noise carries, and on weekends bass comes up from the pool deck, so ask for a room away from the pool. A few guests mention missed dust or musty pillows. Valet is the only parking option, by guests' accounts, and it costs extra. There are occasional reports of billing or reservation confusion.
