Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

The rooms here are two-room suites, and breakfast is free and cooked to order. That pairing is why people book it. Guests keep calling out the breakfast as real value, and the separate living room gives families, or anyone in town for a week of sessions, space to spread out. Julia Street puts the Convention Center a short walk away, which matters more than any amenity if you are here for a show. The rooms are the weak spot. Decor reads dated, and current reviews mention no refresh. Air conditioning that struggles or cuts in and out comes up again and again, and guests also describe service as uneven from one stay to the next. A free evening reception adds to the value. If you drive, Hilton lists self-parking and valet at the same $50 a day, so nothing cheaper exists on site, and an oversized vehicle runs $53 plus tax. Four nights of parking comes to $200 before tax, which eats into whatever the free breakfast saved.
