Ask for a high floor at Swissôtel. Reviews single out the lake and river views from the upper floors of the tower, which is 11 minutes' walk from Cloud Gate. The Penthouse Fitness Centre is on the 43rd floor and a ballroom called Eleve on the 42nd. There are 662 rooms and suites, and The Palm Chicago Steakhouse is in the building. Slow phone answering at the concierge and front desk is a recurring complaint. Settle what you need in person at check-in, which is 4 p.m. (check-out is 11 a.m.). Accor's booking screen shows an Urban Experience Fee of $35.22 a night with tax included. The hotel's pages we read don't list it, and a total built from them comes up short. Parking runs $70 a day to self-park or $87 for valet, both 24-hour, and the page doesn't say whether tax is added. With the fee, a car costs you $105.22 a night self-parked or $122.22 with valet.
