The suites at the Homewood Suites have full kitchens, down to a stove and a dishwasher. They are roomy, and the corner ones look out over the skyline. The Hampton Inn takes the other side of the building. Price two December nights on Hilton's booking screen and no mandatory-charge line appears. Staff and cleanliness are praised in most write-ups, and one detailed complaint about a dusty room and worn fixtures is the exception. Some guests find the value thin once bar prices are counted. Fulton Market is a 12-minute walk, 0.56 miles. Ogilvie Transportation Center is a block away and Union Station about half a mile, per Hilton's search listing. A dog or cat on a stay of five nights or more is a flat $125. Self-parking is $65 a day, with no valet. A week with a car, the kind of stay a kitchen is for, adds $455 before any tax on the parking. Experiences with the garage are uneven: some find it convenient, and one guest paid close to the price of several nights and still could not get a space.
