Balconies come up again and again at Crowne Plaza, a full-service hotel on the Greektown side of the West Loop rather than in Fulton Market. Randolph and Morgan is a 10-minute walk. Some guests find the blocks right around the hotel quiet and far from the main streets, and a few were not comfortable walking back at night. A grocery store and a bus stop are close by, as are the UIC-Halsted Blue Line station and Union Station. The front desk gets the warmest comments, with guests naming the people who sorted out an early check-in. Rooms are often called clean and a good size. Some show their age, with worn furnishings and peeling wallpaper. The restaurant and breakfast draw the weakest comments, and breakfast is not included. Parking is the most common practical complaint. IHG lists on-site parking at $57 a day, so two nights with a car add $114 on top of the room, and IHG doesn't say whether that is taxed. There is no destination fee. IHG's rate details itemize only the tourism district charge and room taxes, 18.9% between them.
