Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
If you're driving to a McCormick Place show, Hilton Garden Inn Chicago McCormick Place has a Park & Stay offer that includes parking for one vehicle per room, subject to availability. Ask whether your rate qualifies, because the building's lot out back has limited spaces. Without the offer, this hotel's Hilton page lists self-parking at $52 a day and valet at $62, though the Hampton Inn's page for the same building lists valet only. A five-night show week costs $260 self-parked or $310 with valet, before tax, so confirm with the hotel before you drive in. Hilton's booking screen shows no mandatory fee, and the room costs the rate plus Chicago's 18.9% room tax. The hotel shares 123 East Cermak Road with a Hampton Inn and a Home2 Suites, and a skybridge links the building to the McCormick Place West Building. The street walk to the King Drive entrance takes seven minutes. Rooms have a microwave, mini-fridge, Keurig and 55-inch TV, and there's an indoor pool. The building sells out around big shows. By 21 October, 6 to 8, 14 and 16 to 18 November 2026 were already gone, and the Midwest Clinic holds a block here in mid-December. Guests must be 21 to check in, and there is no airport shuttle.
