Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
The Waldorf Astoria took over the Mandarin Oriental's building in December 2018. It shares that building with 47 private residences, and its guest rooms and suites were renovated by spring 2023. There's a spa and a restaurant on site, and Lenox Square is 10 minutes away on foot along Peachtree Road. Pets are allowed up to 25 pounds, with a non-refundable $150 fee. Hilton's booking screen for two adults on Tuesday, November 17 listed 13 rooms, and not one showed a "Price includes" or mandatory charge line. Parking has to be valet: Hilton lists self-parking as unavailable. At $67 a night with in-and-out privileges, that is the top valet rate of the twelve Buckhead hotels we cover, and Hilton states no tax on it. A three-night stay puts $201 on parking alone. The Hilton Garden Inn, also on Peachtree Road, charges $45 for the same service, or $135 for those three nights.
