Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
A two-story Japanese garden with a three-story waterfall sits inside the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead, which renovated its 439 rooms, 21 of them suites, in 2024. Cassis is the restaurant. Le Petit Chef, a dinner theater, arrived in February 2025, and a 24-hour market is on site. The Fabled is the lounge, and the West Terrace has firepits. Bathrooms stock Balmain Paris amenities. Dogs 70 pounds and under stay at no additional fee. Every room on Hyatt's November 17 booking screen carried a $30 daily destination fee, subject to change, and Hyatt's page doesn't list what it covers. Two nights is $60 in fees before you've parked. Self-parking is $49 a night with in-and-out privileges and valet is $62. That's $79 a night with the fee if you self-park and $92 with valet, before tax. A complimentary courtesy shuttle runs within two miles from 3 PM to 11 PM Sunday to Thursday and 4 PM to midnight on Friday and Saturday, so an evening trip to Lenox Square can skip the 14-minute walk.
