Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Lenox Square is a 5-minute walk, closer than from any other hotel in this area, and the Hyatt Centric opened along the edge of the mall in December 2021 with 218 rooms over 15 stories. The lounge on the 15th floor is part indoors and part out on the roof. It is also where the noise comes from, on event nights most of all. The heated plunge pool and sun deck are down on the second floor, and dogs stay at no additional charge. Hyatt's booking screen for November 17 applied a daily destination fee of $25.00, subject to change, to each room, and gave no tax figure for it. Self-parking is $40 overnight and valet is $52, and the valet can't take vehicles over six feet. Self-parked, the car and the fee come to $65 a night, before Atlanta's 16.9% tax and the state's $5 on the room. Coming in only for the day or an event costs $22 to self-park and $27 for valet.
